Taostats has evolved. The Bittensor explorer you already use now comes with major updates such as a completely refreshed look, an upgraded mobile app and browser wallet, plus a new $9 Pro plan. Plus so much more: we've also rebuilt our API, rewritten our docs, launched a blog, added multi-lingual support (starting with French), and given subnet owners a way to reach their audience with targeted ads. Together, all of this work turns taostats into a full toolkit that's synced across your devices, secure, and ready to connect with the other Bittensor sites and services you use. You can now research subnets on the website, stake from the wallet in your browser and check your portfolio from your phone, all without leaving taostats.
The timing matters. Bittensor now runs 128 subnets, and a lot of the ecosystem's energy this year has gone into making the network easier for people who aren't developers or validators to understand and use. That has been our focus for months, and this release is the result.
Below, we walk through what changed on the site, what's new in the app and the wallet, how the Pro plans work, and how the pieces fit together.
This release covers a lot, but four launches lead it. The website has been redesigned from top to bottom, with light mode, customisable tables and a cleaner home page. The iOS and Android app has evolved, rebuilt to feel less intimidating to people who are new to TAO, and it still charges zero fees. The taostats browser wallet has been upgraded and now opens in your Chrome sidebar and connects directly to the site. And taostats Pro has new plans, including a $9 Power plan aimed at active TAO holders. Alongside all four, we've rewritten our docs from scratch and rolled out a faster, rebuilt taostats API.
Each one works on its own. The bigger change is that they now work as one set of tools, so the place you look up a validator is also the place you stake with them.
If you've used taostats before, the site will feel familiar. Every page you relied on is still where it was. What's changed is a long list of small improvements that make the Bittensor explorer sharper, more consistent and easier to read.
The most visible change is the design itself. The whole site has a refreshed look, and it now fully supports light mode for anyone who prefers it to the dark interface. Tables, which are where most people spend their time on taostats, can now be customised so you see the columns you care about. The site is now also available in French.
The home page has also been rethought. Instead of opening on a wall of tables, it now leads with a search field so you can go straight to a block, account or subnet, alongside shortcuts to swap, download the app and explore Pro. On mobile, a new menu at the bottom of the screen makes the site much easier to get around on a phone.
Finally, Doug, the taostats AI agent, has graduated from beta and now lives inside subnet pages, so you can ask questions about a subnet while you're looking at its data. Doug now connects directly to the taostats MCP and our own Bittensor data, so his answers draw on the same data that powers taostats. Short of asking our team directly, it's the best way to get your Bittensor questions answered.
The new version of the taostats app is our answer to a common problem: Bittensor data is powerful, but it can be a lot to take in if you've only just bought your first TAO. The app keeps the features existing users rely on and reworks how they're presented, so it's friendlier for newcomers without getting in the way of experienced holders.
With the app, you can:
Track your TAO and alpha holdings
See your staking rewards and subnet earnings
Research subnets with live data
Swap between subnets
Manage multiple wallets in one place
Manage and claim your root rewards
That makes it a practical TAO portfolio tracker as well as a way to act on what you see. The app now supports light mode and we're internationalising it, starting with French which is now fully supported - more languages to come.
There's also a new way to move accounts onto your phone. If you use the taostats browser wallet, you can transfer an account to the app by scanning a QR code, with no need to type out a seed phrase.
The taostats app charges zero fees, and never has. Most other Bittensor apps charge fees, so with taostats more of your TAO stays yours, whether you're staking, swapping or moving funds between wallets. The app holds a lifetime average rating of 4.6 on Google Play and 4.7 on the App Store, and is one of the most downloaded Bittensor apps
We're already working on what comes next for the app, including wallet grouping, an address book, theming options and alerts. We'll share more as each one gets closer.
The taostats browser wallet is what turns taostats from a place you look into a place you act, and this latest version makes that a lot smoother. It now opens in your Chrome sidebar, similar to MetaMask, rather than in a small popup window, so you can see what you're signing right next to the page you're on. If you also use the taostats app, you can now add your browser wallet to your phone in a few seconds by scanning a QR code, with no need to re-enter your recovery phrase.
The wallet's main job is to connect to Bittensor apps like the taostats site and sign the transactions you start there. That makes TAO staking simple: find a validator on the explorer, click stake, and approve it in the sidebar. Inside the wallet itself, you can also stake and unstake, transfer TAO and alpha, keep an address book and manage multiple accounts.
Your keys stay protected the same way they always have. The wallet is non-custodial and built on Talisman's well-tested security model, so your keys are encrypted on your own device and never stored by taostats. It supports Ledger, Polkadot Vault and Signet, and the code is open source on GitHub.
Taostats Pro brings everything you need to manage your TAO into one account: portfolio tracking, staking, transfers, tax reports, miner dashboards and access to the taostats API. The Free plan gets you started, and paid plans add higher limits and more advanced tools.
Taostats Pro now comes in four tiers:
Free
Power at $9 a month (NEW)
Develop at $49 a month
Scale at $199 a month
The new Power plan is built for active TAO holders who want to track and manage their holdings across several wallets and subnets. Here's what it adds over Free:
Develop and Scale are aimed at power users, developers and teams that need deeper data access, unlimited coldkeys, CSV exports and much higher API limits. Whichever plan you choose, you can now pay in crypto.
We've completely rewritten the taostats docs to answer the questions Bittensor holders actually ask. They explain how the network works, from subnets and validators to staking and tokenomics, and walk through every part of taostats. Because Bittensor moves fast, the docs are kept up to the minute, covering new proposals, runtime changes and upgrades as they happen, often before most people know they're coming. If you want to understand what's changing on the network, this is the place to start.
For developers, the taostats API, the leading Bittensor API, has been rebuilt from the ground up and is live now. Built in Rust on ClickHouse, it's much faster at querying years of Bittensor history, more accurate across every past network upgrade, and has a cleaner structure that's easier to build with. You can explore all 124 endpoints and try them in your browser in the API playground.
Already using the API? Your existing key still works, and both versions run side by side until 9 November 2026. The new API docs show you exactly what to change.
The simplest way to see why we built all of this together is to follow one person through it.
Say you want to stake some TAO. You start on the taostats website, compare validators and subnets using the explorer's data, and ask doug a question about a subnet you're unsure of. Once you've chosen, you click stake, and the taostats browser wallet opens in your sidebar so you can check and sign the transaction. Later, you scan a QR code to bring that account into the taostats app, and from then on you can check your position from your phone whenever you like. If you hold TAO across several wallets, the Power plan lets you track them all from one portfolio.
Before this release, a journey like that was clunky and required switching between different tools. Now it happens in one place, and every step is backed by the same data that has made taostats the go-to Bittensor explorer.
Taostats started as the Bittensor explorer, and the explorer is still at the heart of everything we do. What's changed is that you can now act on what you find, on whichever device you're using.
This release isn't the finish line. We have a lot more in the works, but we didn't want to hold back what's ready any longer. Follow us on X and join our Discord to hear about it first.
Taostats is the block explorer and data analytics platform for Bittensor. It provides real-time and historical data on every subnet, validator, miner, block, account and transfer, alongside tools to stake, swap and move TAO, track a portfolio across wallets and export tax reports. Taostats is available on the web, as a free iOS and Android app and as a non-custodial browser wallet. Staking, swapping and transferring TAO through taostats comes with zero fees. For developers, taostats offers the leading Bittensor API, and taostats Pro adds higher limits and advanced tools for active holders, power users and teams.
