Actions: proxies
Add, remove and create proxies, and sign any action as a proxy wallet, with Taostats Actions.

A proxy lets another wallet sign specific kinds of transaction for yours. You can keep the coldkey that holds your stake offline and do day-to-day work with a key that can do less. Taostats Actions both manages proxies and signs as one. Open Proxies.
For what each proxy type permits, see Extrinsics: proxy. For how proxies fit with ledgers and multisig, see Securing a wallet.
Manage proxies
Add Proxy
Authorises another wallet to act for yours within a proxy type, with an optional delay. The chain reserves a deposit for each proxy and returns it when the proxy is removed. Any gives full control, including transfers.
Remove Proxy
Revokes one proxy, picked from the wallet's current proxies. It can no longer act for this wallet once the transaction is included.
Remove All Proxies
Removes every proxy on the wallet at once. Anything that relies on one of them stops working.
Add Pure Proxy
Creates a new keyless account that only this wallet controls through a proxy. If that proxy relationship is removed, whatever the pure proxy holds can no longer be reached.
Sign as a proxy wallet
Every action except the multisig screens has a Complete as proxy wallet switch. Turn it on and choose a wallet that made yours its proxy: the action runs as that wallet, and your connected wallet signs. Taostats lists the wallets that have made yours a proxy; one added in the last few minutes can be entered by address.
Watch it step by step: Complete as a proxy wallet (video).
- The action belongs to the proxied wallet. Balances, positions and dropdowns are that wallet's, and anything the action stakes, sends or changes is that wallet's.
- The proxy type is checked first. Each action shows whether your proxy type can do it, and the review re-reads the grant from the chain.
- Your wallet pays the fee, unless the proxied wallet has opted in to pay it. Through Taostats Shield your wallet always pays.
- A proxy with a delay can't be used. Each call through a delayed proxy must be announced first, and Actions does not do that.
- The fee is charged even if the inner call fails. A proxy transaction succeeds when the proxy call is included; Taostats then reads the result of the call made as the other wallet and tells you if it failed (for example, on slippage).
